Job summary

SEH is seeking an Airports Construction Representative to observe and verify construction on airport infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. You will document field activities, coordinate material sampling, and support meetings while interfacing with clients, contractors, and airport users.

The role may include CAD production/drafting using AutoCAD or MicroStation, along with assisting in proposals, budgets, schedules, and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have good internal and external communication skills.
• Ability to obtain airport badge including background check.
• Five (5) or more years of experience as a Construction Project Representative or Contractor on airport projects.
• DOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction on airport infrastructure projects, verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Verify quality and document day-to-day field and inspection activities; coordinate material sampling and testing; measure quantities.
• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction and progress meetings; negotiate and prepare construction change orders.
• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, airport users, agencies, and SEH personnel.
• CAD production/drafting tasks may be assigned (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules; complete constructability reviews.
• Complete cost estimation and quantity takeoffs.
