Job summary

Short-Elliott-Hendrickson (SEH) is seeking a Construction Project Representative in the McAllen, TX area to oversee airport infrastructure site work and verify compliance with plans and specs. You’ll document field activities, manage material testing coordination, and support meetings with clients and contractors.

Preferred candidates have AutoCAD or MicroStation experience and may assist in proposals, budgeting, or constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Construction experience as a Project Rep or contractor.
• Ability to obtain airport badge and pass background checks.
• Capable of travel and working overtime as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Observe airport infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting, landside) and verify plans.
• Document field activities, coordinate sampling, test materials, measure quantities.
• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction/progress meetings and change orders.
• Interact with clients, contractors, airport users, and SEH staff.
• Support CAD production if assigned (AutoCAD/MicroStation).
• Assist in proposals, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and quantity takeoffs.
