Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Warehouse Wheelchair Assistant to provide essential passenger support at Memphis airport. The role involves helping passengers in wheelchairs, guiding them to gates, and assisting with luggage movement around the terminal.

A positive, customer-focused attitude is essential for a smooth travel experience. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and the capability to obtain an airport badge.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300 lbs on inclines.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to obtain an airport badge.

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates and assist with movement of luggage to vehicles, taxi stands, parking shuttle stations and rental car areas.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and attentiveness to each passenger's needs.
• Follow safety and security protocols and raise any concerns to supervisors.
• Complete any required wheelchair or incident reports and follow dispatcher gate orders.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, airline staff and airport authorities.
