SP+, a Metropolis Company, is hiring a Wheelchair Assistant to help passengers at the airport. The role is full-time or part-time, with starting pay at $13.00 per hour plus tips, and requires weekend and holiday availability. The position involves assisting passengers in wheelchairs, moving luggage, and complying with security and badge requirements. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300 lbs.
• Able to obtain an airport badge.
• Experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates.
• Roll passenger wheelchair down the jet bridge safely.
• Assist with moving luggage to vehicles, taxi stands, and shuttle stations.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and communicate clearly.
• Complete wheelchair or incident reports as required.
• Follow dispatcher gate orders.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and customers.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
