Job summary

SP+ Corporation, a Metropolis Company, seeks a Wheelchair Assistant to help passengers with mobility at airports, including pushing to gates and assisting with luggage. You will need to stay safety-conscious, friendly, and attentive to individual passenger needs in a fast-paced setting.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to obtain an airport badge, and prior customer service experience. We offer benefits and a supportive team within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Able to clear a background and drug screen
• Lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 300 lbs
• Able to obtain an airport badge
• Experience in customer service preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates
• Roll passenger-occupied wheelchair safely down the jet bridge
• Ensure wheel brakes are in place before exiting wheelchair
• Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports
• Follow dispatcher gate orders
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude; assist passengers' needs
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and airport personnel
• Exceed customer service standards
• Carry out other duties as assigned
