Job summary

The City of Charlotte’s Aviation Department seeks a seasoned Terminal Operations Supervisor near CLT to oversee terminal and curbside operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional customer service during normal and irregular operations.

You will manage shifts, conduct performance reviews, train personnel, and coordinate with the airport's contract holder while upholding safety and service standards for travelers and tenants.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and three years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and one year experience.
• Experience supervising in airport operations or customer service.
• Strong situational awareness; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead a diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Terminal Operations Coordinators and staff.
• Oversee day-to-day terminal operations and provide face-to-face customer service.
• Coordinate with the current Customer Services Contract holder.
• Resolve difficult customer service issues.
• Enforce terminal standards and safety procedures.
• Prepare records and reports; communicate via PA, radio, and writing.
• Assist in emergency and irregular operations training.
• Support other Airport Operations sections as needed.
