Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring at MSP Airport for a friendly Taxi Dispatcher who guides passengers to taxis, assists with luggage and helps maintain orderly lines. The role requires strong customer service experience and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

You will monitor taxi operations, respond to queries, prepare simple incident reports, and follow security policies while coordinating with drivers and supervisors. Weekend and holiday shifts are included.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, days, evenings, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Directs passengers to available taxis and assists with luggage.
• Monitors taxi lines and liaises with drivers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Distributes Taxi Information Brochures and records incidents.
• Maintains knowledge of MSP terminal and MAVIS software.
• Escalates queries to supervisor as needed.

Overview

Pay: $17.34-$17.34/ hourly The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. is required to become knowledgeable of basic airport operations including but not limited to airport taxi operations. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is assigned to five, eight-hour shifts. The days and hours of this position will include working weekends and holidays. Mandatory overtime is occasionally required. Uniforms are provided.

Responsibilities

• Directs passengers to available taxis; occasionally assisting with luggage.
• Monitors taxi lines and interacts with taxi drivers to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Distributes Taxi Information Brochures.
• Monitors and assist with TNC traffic
• Records and prepares written taxi incident reports.
• Escalates any queries and concerns from the traveling public to supervisor or team lead.
• Adheres to and enforces department policies and ordinances relating to commercial vehicle operations at MSP.
• Maintains working knowledge of MAC Automated Vehicle Identification Software (MAVIS).

Roadways

• Maintains current knowledge of the terminal campus and commercial vehicle roadway system.
• Monitors commercial vehicle roadways; responds to safety concerns and reports needed repairs.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience and the ability to respond to customers in a professional manner
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; articulates information in a concise and timely manner
• Clear and articulate written and oral communication skills
• Willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic skill level using Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, days, evenings, and nights
