Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services seeks a Store Associate for a busy airport convenience store at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina, PR. This full-time role offers hands-on training, supportive supervision, and a chance to gain experience in high-traffic retail and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver's license required.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar retail, customer service, or cash handling role.
• Basic proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written.
• Experience operating a cash register and handling customer payments.
• Basic knowledge of computer use, credit cards, ATMs, and money-counting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, verify the assigned cash float, process customer purchases, and accept payments by cash, card, and other approved methods.
• Sell products and merchandise to customers and employees while delivering professional, courteous service.
• Check product expiration dates, organize merchandise, and maintain the store in a clean and presentable condition.
• Provide passengers with general guidance and information regarding flights and airlines when necessary.
• Reconcile the cash register at the end of the shift and submit cash and petty cash funds for verification.
• Follow established procedures for store closing, absences, suspicious items, unattended items, and other security-related situations.

As a Store Associate, you will provide friendly retail customer service, assist passengers with basic flight and airline information when needed, process sales accurately, and help maintain a clean and welcoming store. This position offers a steady full-time schedule, hands-on training, supportive supervision, and the opportunity to build experience in a high-traffic retail and customer service setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, verify the assigned cash float, process customer purchases, and accept payments by cash, card, and other approved methods.
• Sell products and merchandise to customers and employees while delivering professional, courteous service.
• Check product expiration dates, organize merchandise, and maintain the store in a clean and presentable condition.
• Provide passengers with general guidance and information regarding flights and airlines when necessary.
• Reconcile the cash register at the end of the shift and submit cash and petty cash funds for verification.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $11 per hour.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week with 2 days off.
• Availability required between 4:30 am and 11:00 pm.
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
• Location: Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, Carolina, PR.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to follow procedures, communicate with supervisors, and report security or maintenance concerns promptly.
