As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, respond to alarms, communicate professionally with travelers and staff, and document activities using computer or tablet tools. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $28.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• Airport Security Experience: 1+ years
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking facilities, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned airport locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious items, access concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and authorized airport representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
