Airport Security Officer: Full-Time Kahului, HI

As an Airport Security Officer: Full-Time in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming, security‑related environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report observations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork‑driven, and integrity‑focused culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM
• Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM
• Fri: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted‑access areas; verify credentials as assigned; and report suspicious activity, unattended items, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or other designated personnel as appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to supervisors in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
