Job summary

Allied Universal in Kahului, HI is seeking an Airport Security Officer: Dispatch/CCTV and Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government airport location. You will monitor terminals, respond to incidents, and support access control while delivering courteous service to passengers and staff.

Minimum qualifications include: 1 year of security-related experience, English fluency, high school diploma, ability to pass background check and drug screen, and the need to obtain an AOA badge.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when assigned, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to supervisors and designated airport representatives.

Pay Rate: $28.75 / Hour

• Mon: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• Airport Security Experience: 1+ years
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property
