Job summary

ACTS-AVIATION SECURITY is seeking an Airport Security Guard for full-time, on-site work at the airport. The role includes monitoring access, vehicle checks, perimeter security, and incident response, with a focus on passenger safety and operational integrity.

Pay starts at $21.50 per hour, with an additional $5.36 per hour for up to 40 hours weekly funded benefits. Eligible employees receive health and welfare benefits through Local 32BJ, including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferable to have at least two years verifiable contract security, military or law enforcement experience.
• Must be able to pass TSA security assessments and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Control access to restricted areas of the airport and log authorized personnel.
• Screen and log vehicles accessing restricted areas.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at perimeter access points.
• Inspect employees and belongings; patrol airport premises.
• Issue temporary vehicle access media; monitor permits.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and assist passengers as needed.
