Job summary

First Meridian Services, Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to support our kitchen team by preparing ingredients, washing and chopping, and keeping a clean, organized work area inside a climate-controlled international airport environment.

You will measure and portion ingredients, follow food safety guidelines, stock stations, assist cooks with basic tasks, and help ensure smooth service while maintaining a positive, safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing.
• Measure and assemble ingredients following recipes and specs.
• Portion and package prepared ingredients for service.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Stock stations with supplies and ingredients.
• Label and store ingredients properly to minimize waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist cooks with basic cooking tasks and dish assembly.
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages to management.
• Receive and store deliveries appropriately.
• Participate in cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and PPE use.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
