Job summary

Menzies Aviation, Hayden (HDN) seeks a Passenger Service Agent to assist passengers at the ticket counter and gates, verify documents, assign seats, provide gate information, and help with baggage handling within the airport environment.

You will work from the ticket counter to the gate, interacting with customers, hosting kiosks, and ensuring a smooth, safe passenger experience while following uniform guidelines and conduct standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a current valid US driver’s license.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job duties.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality.
• Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and other passenger issues in the airport.
• Verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
• Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Host self-service kiosks.
• Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
• Be enthusiastic and keep a positive attitude while offering assistance.
• Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats in the gate area as needed.
• Ensure safe and secure operations.
• Adhere to uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
