Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Station Manager to oversee day-to-day airport operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance of the station. You will coordinate teams, manage partnerships with customers, review reports, and drive operational and financial results.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+, a valid driver’s license, and supervisory experience, with preference for candidates with aviation or ground handling experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Three years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Builds partnerships with customers and sets the example for the delivery of exceptional customer service.
• Reviews operational and financial reports to ensure the station is meeting goals and objectives and takes corrective action as required.
• Participates in employee relations investigations when complaints arise and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Recruits new employees to ensure appropriate staffing, promotes team-building initiatives and performs coaching and mentoring activities to develop and motivate team members.
• Ensure that employees are properly trained and audit safety records as needed.
• Sets, measures and manages the performance of self and others. Leads team members in achieving operational and financial objectives and goals.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for this position.
