Job summary

Hyde Park Hospitality is seeking a Food and Beverage Runner for the JFK lounge in Queens, NY. The role delivers food and beverage orders to guests, ensuring timely service and quality in a hospitality-focused environment.

You will coordinate with front and back-of-house staff, assist with table setup, handle guest inquiries, and maintain knowledge of offerings while working with rotating shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively present information to guests and team members.
• Maintains composure under pressure and awareness of surroundings and differences.
• Presentable appearance in keeping with service standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive guest experience and resolves complaints with policy and guest satisfaction in mind.
• Acts as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of House staff.
• Communicates food orders to chefs, noting priorities and allergies.
• Assists wait staff with table setting and placing tableware.
• Serves food and beverages in a timely, safe manner.
• Checks in with guests and takes additional orders or refills water.
• Keeps staff informed about guest feedback and requests.
• Maintains knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
• Removes dirty dishes and utensils as needed.
• Answers questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Ensures safe delivery of items and assists with cleaning duties as assigned.
