Job summary

HMSHost Corporation in Anchorage is seeking a Cook responsible for preparing cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. You will communicate with the manager on duty, ensure top service quality, and perform related duties as assigned. This is a non-exempt position.

Responsibilities include following recipes, coordinating production, sanitizing stations, and handling various kitchen tasks while maintaining safety standards in a high-volume casual dining setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year cooking experience preferred
• Must follow HACCP standards
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooked foods following recipes and directions for items like soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
• Communicate ticket times and potential issues to the manager on duty and servers
• Maintain clean, sanitized work stations and equipment
• Ensure food safety and sanitation per HACCP standards
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure, mix, and cook ingredients
• Stock, date, rotate, and monitor product temperatures
