Holland America-Princess in Anchorage is seeking a Line Cook to support back-of-house operations. You will execute cooking tasks, set up stations, and plate dishes during service, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen required.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations preferred.
• Must hold or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (failure to comply may result in reduced hours until provided).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for full shifts (up to 8 hours).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Execute food preparation and cooking tasks according to established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and equipment before each service.
• Accurately assemble and plate dishes in a timely manner during all meal services.
• Monitor food quality through regular tasting and visual inspection.
• Follow company policies for sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.
• Identify and properly dispose of any spoiled or substandard food items.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure all food orders are prepared and delivered together, hot and on time.
• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the kitchen.
