Job summary

High Flying Foods is seeking a line cook to join our Cutwater Restaurant at the San Diego International Airport. You will prepare, cook, and plate items to order, following recipes and portion standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication with teammates and managers.
• Ability to memorize recipes and measure ingredients accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain during training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate food to order following recipes and portion standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized kitchen station.
• Set up and rotate stock using FIFO; ensure freshness.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment with proper cleanliness.
• Complete prep lists and kitchen checklists before service.
• Communicate with the manager at shift start and end.
