Job summary

Avports is seeking a Learning & Development professional to design, deliver, and evaluate employee training, leadership development, regulatory compliance, safety, and workforce development programs for Tweed-New Haven Airport. The role administers the LMS, maintains training records, and supports operational readiness through training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, human resources, organizational development, business administration, occupational safety, adult education or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in employee training, learning and development, safety, regulatory compliance, airport operations, or a related field.
• Must obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, security clearances, and training required to perform assigned duties.
• OSHA 30 Certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• NIMS 100, 200, and 700 certifications required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and evaluate employee training and development programs.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, cross-training, and annual training plans.
• Conduct training needs assessments and partner with leaders to identify development opportunities.
• Support succession planning, career development, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Measure training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, training records, compliance tracking, and reporting.
