Avports seeks a Specialist, Airport Training & Development for Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in New Haven, CT. Under the Human Resources Manager, you will develop and deliver training, leadership programs, regulatory compliance, safety, and workforce development initiatives on-site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in training, learning and development, safety, regulatory compliance, airport operations, or a related field.
Strong facilitation, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated aviation environment.
Must obtain and maintain airport security credentials, certifications, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver, and evaluate employee training and development programs.
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, cross-training, and annual training plans.
Conduct training needs assessments and partner with leaders to identify development opportunities.
Support succession planning, career development, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Measure training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, training records, compliance tracking, and reporting.
