Job summary

Avports seeks a Specialist, Airport Training & Development to lead learning initiatives for Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) on-site. You will design, deliver, and evaluate training, manage onboarding, and coordinate annual plans to strengthen workforce readiness in a highly regulated aviation setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in training, learning and development, safety, regulatory compliance, airport operations, or a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Strong facilitation, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and evaluate employee training and development programs.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, cross-training, and annual training plans.
• Conduct training needs assessments and partner with leaders to identify development opportunities.
• Support succession planning, career development, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Measure training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, training records, compliance tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and facilitate leadership training programs covering supervision, coaching, performance management, employee relations, communication, conflict resolution, and change management.
• Coordinate regulatory and compliance training programs to support FAA, TSA, OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company requirements.
