Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Hardware Field Technician for a 3-month contract onsite at Sacramento International Airport. The role requires extensive travel (80%), with day trips and occasional overnight stays, and frequent interaction with frontline employees and customers.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of hardware, software, and peripherals, supporting IT infrastructure across airport locations and CS&S centers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hardware field technician experience.
• Knowledge of cabling infrastructure and topologies.
• Low voltage cabling knowledge is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot Windows operating systems.
• Ability to work with Active Directory and move workstation objects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ServiceNow, and SCCM.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills and routing concepts.
• Demonstrated problem solving and strong customer service.
• Must have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, add, and change desktop and mobile devices and related equipment at airports and offices.
• Provide IMAC support for IT infrastructure across office environments and airport locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on operational equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware with minimal direction.
• Provide bench repair, maintenance, and configuration of IT devices.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal customers.
• Handle packaging, documentation, shipment, and receipt of equipment as needed.
• Create status reports for leadership on field installations.
• May perform other duties as directed by leadership.
