Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking an Airport Maintenance worker to perform ground, facility, labor and airfield maintenance duties across the airport and its facilities. Responsibilities include repair of equipment, grounds, and buildings, and operation of pavement maintenance equipment as well as routine upkeep of runways, taxiways, and surrounding areas.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance, grounds maintenance, street maintenance, construction, or paving.

Responsibilities

• Perform general Airfield maintenance duties, including cleaning, grounds, and facilities.
• Maintain runways, taxiways, and related areas; repair equipment and facilities.
• Operate airport vehicles and equipment; inspect and maintain for safety.
• Assist with snow removal and de-icing operations as needed.
• Support custodial duties and ensure safe work practices on-site.
