Job summary

The City of Manchester is seeking an Airport Maintenance Operator II - Aviation in Manchester, NH. The role leads custodial and lawn care duties and operates heavy equipment to maintain airport grounds and facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with FAA regulations.

On-call status applies; you will coordinate with airport staff and tenants, perform a range of maintenance tasks, and support emergency response and event setups as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Zero to two years of custodial, landscaping, and heavy equipment experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker for custodial and lawn care duties.
• Operate heavy equipment (street sweeper, dump truck, loader, backhoe, plow truck, etc.).
• Enforce FAA safety and security regulations.
• Respond to citizen inquiries courteously and promptly.
• Coordinate with other departments to enhance interdepartmental efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as required by the classification.
