City of Houston is seeking an Equipment Operator III to support the Horticulture & Grounds Maintenance section of the Houston Airport System. The role involves operating heavy equipment, mowing, and performing maintenance to keep assets in excellent condition and compliant with regulatory standards.

Applicants must be able to obtain security badge access within 6 months from hire. A CDL Class A or B may be required depending on equipment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience operating plant or automotive equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment, mowing gear, and related tools on airfield and landside areas.
• Assist with lip and erosion repairs, ditch maintenance, and pavement tasks.
• Coordinate and monitor work assignments and personnel as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform pre/post-trip inspections on equipment.
