Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Experience operating snow and trail conditioning equipment, incl. snow-grooming tractors, bulldozers, loaders.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must satisfactorily undergo a State Police records check.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy items.
• Essential Personnel; overtime during snow removal emergencies may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates complex equipment for snow and ice removal on airfield, roads and parking lots.
• Performs mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment and attachments.
• Operates light duty equipment for grounds maintenance and snow removal tasks.
• Provides hands-on training to new personnel and refreshed training as needed.
• Assists in construction projects including road sealing and patching, and pavement repairs.
• Works with others to repair base underground utilities and other emergency tasks.
• Performs pre-trip inspections and cleans equipment after use.
