Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Charlotte, NC seeks an Operations Manager to lead the CLT Fuel Facility. You will oversee operations performance, safety, quality, training, and staff development, guiding four shift supervisors to meet regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating product movements, inspections and quality testing, scheduling, root-cause investigations, and maintaining shift communications and regulatory paperwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years' experience leading teams in fuel facility operations at airports or midstream fuel terminals.
• Sound understanding jet fuel quality characteristics and testing.
• Must comply with local airport, FAA and/or U.S. Customs safety, security, and identification requirements and pass a thorough security background check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations performance, safety, quality, training, and staff development; lead four shift supervisors.
• Coordinate product movements, inspections, quality testing, and inventory data to standard and accurate levels.
• Enforce safe work practices and develop additional ones as needed.
• Ensure personnel are trained and understand task purpose within the operations plan.
• Create and update procedures on operational tasks as needed.
• Foster a positive culture of engaged staff focused on knowledge and operational excellence.
• Schedule personnel to meet facility and airport needs.
• Lead root cause investigations and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee shift communications, logs, regulatory paperwork, and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety policies and company rules.
