Job summary
The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm) to perform routine maintenance and repairs on airport facilities and equipment, including electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. Availability for on-call support is also required.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance or mechanical repair, hands-on work with plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to read
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in facility maintenance or mechanical repair
- Up to 1 year of technical or trade schooling in electrical, plumbing or mechanic systems
- Hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical work (less than 1 year required)
Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of airport facilities to identify issues
- Diagnose faulty equipment through observation and testing
- Replace motors, pumps, and conveyor systems
- Read blueprints to address repair and maintenance requirements
- Enter and manage work orders to track maintenance activities
- Assist in maintaining the Airport Certification Manual and FAR Part 139 compliance
- Perform related tasks to support facility operations
