Health IT NEWS.Direct! is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician for a full-time union role on a second shift supporting 24/7 airport operations.

You will perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems to ensure safe, reliable facilities and uninterrupted operations. The senior-level technician works independently, troubleshoots complex issues, mentors junior staff, and coordinates with vendors on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintain maintenance records.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including after-hours on-call.
• Coordinate with vendors onsite and support facility projects.
• Track spare parts and flag reorder needs.
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA, confined space, fall protection).
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.

The Building Maintenance Technician is a full time union position and is responsible for performing advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations.

The Building Maintenance Technician is a full time union position and is responsible for performing advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations.

This position serves as the senior-level maintenance technician and is expected to work independently, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and support in maintaining operational excellence throughout the facility.

Requirements

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and BAS
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment
• Complete work orders and keep maintenance records/logs up to date
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including some after-hours/on-call support
• Support facility projects (installs, upgrades, repairs) and coordinate with vendors onsite
• Track spare parts/supplies and flag reorder needs
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA, confined space, fall protection)
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices

What You Need

• High school diploma/GED (trade school a plus)
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial maintenance experience
