The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on airport facilities and equipment. This position involves monitoring, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, as well as reporting any issues that arise. This role is critical in supporting smooth airport operations by identifying and resolving electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues in a timely manner. The current hiring need for this position is for 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Additionally, this role requires availability for on-call support.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general construction methods, along with a solid understanding of safety procedures and applicable regulations, including FAA FAR Part 139. They should demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, and conveyor equipment, and be comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints to support maintenance activities. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of performing thorough visual inspections, maintaining accurate records, and managing inventory. Additionally, they should be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and able to build and maintain positive working relationships in a team-oriented environment.
The hiring range for this position is $41,691.46 to $54,198.90 (final salary depends on experience). MKAA offers a very competitive benefits package for this position, including medical/dental/vision benefits, disability/life insurance, vacation leave, sick leave, 401(a) retirement program.
