Job summary

The Norfolk Airport Authority is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker I for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–12:30 AM, Fri-Tue) to maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems across airport facilities. The role includes basic preventative maintenance, equipment checks, and assisting with building operations.

This full-time position requires a high school education or trade training, at least two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a SIDA badge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in general building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain SIDA badge as required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist other departmental personnel in maintenance of building equipment.
• Replacing HVAC filters.
• Replacement of light bulbs.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Clean and restore airport facilities and equipment rooms.
• Snow removal operations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Administer and adhere to all Authority policies and guidelines.
