Job summary

Charlottesville Albemarle Airport is seeking a maintenance candidate to support airfield and grounds upkeep. The role includes general facility repairs, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, and cleaning.

The team must be on-call for snow removal operations and participates in our Aircraft and Firefighting unit after training. The position offers an hourly wage of $22.87–$30.17, with benefits including health care, retirement and life insurance, paid leave, and holidays.

Job description

Our Maintenance Team needs the right person to join them to provide maintenance at the airport. Responsibilities to include all aspects of airfield and grounds maintenance, performing general building maintenance functions such as repairs to the facilities, painting, routine carpentry, minor plumbing and general cleaning. The maintenance team is required to be on-call for snow removal operations.

This position will be a member of the Aircraft and Firefighting team. Fire and rescue training is provided by the airport. Upon successful completion of the fire training, you will receive an annual salary increase of $5,200.

Available shift: Wednesday - Saturday 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Applications accepted until filled.

Hourly rate: $22.87- $30.17 (based on experience).

The applicant must successfully complete required fingerprint-based criminal history records check, employment background check, pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid Virginia driver's license with driving record insurable by Authority's automobile liability carrier.
