Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking an Airport Programs Manager—Emergency Management to lead planning, training, and incident response at the airport. You will coordinate with airport partners and community stakeholders to develop comprehensive emergency plans and ensure readiness.

The role requires a bachelor’s in emergency management or related field with five years of experience, EOC expertise, and certifications IS100/200/700 plus IC300/400 within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or related field with five years of relevant experience.
• Emergency response experience within an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) environment is required.
• IS100, IS200, and IS700 are required.
• Must obtain IC300 and IC400 certification within 18 months.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field with five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops emergency response plans and SOPs/SOGs for various processes throughout the airport.
• Ensures training requirements are met on a yearly basis.
• Staffs the EOC during emergency incidents or long-term events.
• Participates in emergency response activations, exercises, drills, and training.
• Conducts tours of the C4 facility for community partners and stakeholders.
• Maintains a yearly calendar of all plans and SOPs/SOGs in the plans library.
• Prepares technical records, plans, and reports to document processes.
• Plans, coordinates, develops, and promotes emergency service policies and exercise design.
• Evaluates and assesses potential areas for enhancement and implements improvements.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
