Job summary

The City of Atlanta seeks an Airport Programs Manager - Emergency Management to lead planning, development, and implementation of emergency response plans for the airport. You will coordinate with stakeholders, develop training and disaster exercises, and provide daily operational data to leadership.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related field with five years of experience, plus required IS/ICS certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or related field required with five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Emergency response experience within an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) environment required.
  • IS100, IS200, IS700 certifications required; IC300 and IC400 within 18 months.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in related field and five (5) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops emergency response plans and SOPs for airport processes.
  • Ensures yearly training compliance with industry standards.
  • Staffs the EOC during emergencies and long-term events.
  • Conducts tours of the C4 facility for partners and stakeholders.
  • Maintains plans library with annual reviews and updates.
  • Plans, coordinates, and promotes emergency service policies and exercise design.
