City of Atlanta, GA, seeks an Airport Communications Dispatcher Supervisor II to lead the Hartsfield-Jackson AOC dispatch center, coordinating emergency and non-emergency communications, EMS triage, and incident response.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience in an emergency call center, and the ability to train staff, monitor performance, and enforce procedures. The position is full-time at the airport facilities in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in an emergency call center.
• 5-8 years of experience in an emergency call center.
• GA POST Basic Communications Officer certification within 6 months.
• EMD certification within 6 months.
• Equivalent education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the center and conduct performance evaluations.
• Organize, prioritize, and distribute work to supervisors and staff.
• Provide ongoing training for dispatchers and update procedures.
• Monitor radio/phone traffic to ensure adherence to policies.
• Coordinate with QA/QI and prepare performance reports.
• Support EOC activation and mutual aid coordination.
