Job summary

City of Atlanta Careers is seeking an Airport Communications Dispatcher Supervisor II to lead the day-to-day operations of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport AOC. You will supervise dispatch staff, oversee performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to procedures across PSAP, EMS, and airport operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with supervisory/managerial experience.
• GA POST Communications Officer certification within 6 months.
• EMD certification within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in a public safety/airport operations environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the center and supervise staff.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage vacation requests.
• Coordinate training and ensure adherence to procedures across PSAP, EMS, and aviation operations.
• Monitor radio/telephone traffic and ensure professional conduct.
• Provide EMD directions and triage for emergency incidents.
• Operate CAD system to track incidents and coordinate responses.
• Coordinate mutual aid with off-airport agencies when needed.
• Maintain required national/state certifications for protocols.
