City of Atlanta seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead the Airport Operations Center (AOC) at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. You will direct day-to-day dispatch, oversee staff performance, and ensure adherence to EMS and security procedures.

You will coordinate with police, fire, EMS, QA/QI, and other divisions; provide training, handle escalations, and contribute to operational reliability across shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or managerial experience and 5–8 years in an emergency call center.
• GA POST Basic Communications Officer certification within the first 6 months.
• EMD certification within the first 6 months.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration, science, aviation management, emergency management, airport operations, or related field (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the center; conduct performance evaluations; authorize vacation requests; address concerns; document grievances; counsel or discipline as needed.
• Organize and distribute work assignments to supervisors and subordinates.
• Provide ongoing dispatch training and keep staff updated on procedure changes.
• Substitute for other supervisors or coworkers in their absence and assist in emergency response.
• Monitor radio and telephone traffic to ensure procedures are followed and tasks performed professionally.
• Prepare statistics for performance evaluations and monthly reports to AOC Manager/Assistant Director.
• Coordinate with QA/QI and ensure staff meet standards; activation of EOC as directed.
• Provide quality customer service in all interactions with public and operations.
