Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a terminal expansion project at Washington Dulles International Airport. This role provides hands-on field safety oversight in a busy airport construction environment, coordinating with craft personnel, subcontractors, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards and support safe execution of activities.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification or Higher required.
• Minimum 5-10 years of construction safety experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for terminal construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible safety presence in active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, material handling, and equipment use.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans for safety compliance.
• Ensure OSHA and airport-specific safety requirements are followed.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
