Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 6-week project at Washington Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, VA. The role emphasizes field leadership to identify hazards, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with craft personnel and subcontractors.

The candidate should have OSHA 30 or higher and 5–10 years of construction safety experience, preferably in airport or large commercial projects. Strong knowledge of JHAs/AHAs and OSHA regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification or higher required.
• 5–10 years of construction safety experience.
• Airport/terminal construction exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for terminal construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence in active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, material handling, and equipment usage.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and airport safety requirements.
• Coordinate safety actions with project leadership and subcontractors.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and compliance documentation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture on the project.
