LSG Sky Chefs in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead all transportation and fleet operations within the facility. You will oversee supervisors, dispatch teams, drivers and support staff to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient movement of freight and on-time meal deliveries to outbound flights.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in transportation and logistics, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years of leadership in high-volume operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership in high-volume operational environments (manufacturing, logistics, aviation catering, etc.).
• Experience leading multiple departments through frontline supervisors.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leaders and manage large teams (100+ hourly employees).
• Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, productivity improvement, and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage catering deliveries to aircraft and coordinate high-lift trucks, transport vehicles, and equipment.
• Drive on-time performance and schedule compliance within turnaround times and deadlines.
• Coordinate with airline and airport operations teams to support seamless flight departures.
• Handle last-minute operational changes such as delays, gate reassignments, and equipment shortages.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance for drivers, vehicles, and operations.
• Oversee fleet and equipment management and arrange maintenance activities.
• Track and analyze performance metrics: on-time delivery, service failures, delays, vehicle utilization, and labor productivity.
• Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
