Job summary

Dufry is seeking a Bartender at the Portland Jetport location to greet customers, take drink and food orders, mix beverages, and serve drinks and other beverages, while ensuring accurate transactions and timely service. This non-exempt role reports to the Store Manager or General Manager depending on local requirements.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, following recipes, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience in high volume or fast casual dining is preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and related beverage preparation.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, outgoing manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policies, and converse with customers.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.
• Willingness to comply with alcohol awareness procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders, upsell products where appropriate.
• Follow recipes and directions for beverage preparation.
• Collect payments and operate cash registers per policies; secure funds at shift end.
• Adhere to HMSHost alcohol service policies and prevent intoxication.
• Follow customer service and cash handling procedures.
• Keep bar clean, sanitized, and well stocked.
