Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) in Hawaii seeks a baggage handler to support airport operations, rotating duties between clearing baggage jams, monitoring system displays, and assisting Technicians in the bag room.

Responsibilities include moving baggage between piers, completing paperwork, and following safety policies. Must pass a basic aptitude test and be available for weekends and holidays. Excellent attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to pass a basic aptitude test.
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be dependable and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Rotate duties between clearing baggage jams, monitoring system graphical displays, moving baggage from pier to pier, and assists Technicians.
• Move baggage from default pier and deliver to appropriate airline pier or make-up unit.
• Completes computer entries and paperwork appropriate for tasks performed.
• Assists Technicians with preventative maintenance including cleaning and lubrication of system components and general housekeeping.
• Performs system walkthroughs and alerts Technicians of any issues.
• Monitors system displays for active alarms/faults and dispatches technicians to faulted area.
• Responsible for clearing baggage jams on the system.
• May move baggage tubs to and from the bag room to various locations within the assigned work area.
• Completes all training as assigned by the Company.
• Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
