Job summary

Elite Line Services in Long Beach, CA seeks a dedicated baggage handler to rotate duties between clearing jams, monitoring system displays, and moving baggage across piers. You will assist technicians and perform routine maintenance duties as required.

Daily tasks include paperwork, system monitoring, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. A high school diploma or GED, English fluency, and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clear baggage jams on the system and perform duties between the baggage areas.
• Monitor system graphical displays and assist Technicians as needed.
• Move baggage from pier to pier and deliver to airline or make-up units.
• Complete computer entries and paperwork for tasks performed.
• Assist Technicians with preventative maintenance and housekeeping in the work area.
