Job summary

VIP Hospitality in Seattle is seeking a Baggage Services Agent to manage baggage on international arrivals and assist with unattended baggage at the main terminal carousel, ensuring smooth passenger flow and proper handling. You will work with TSA/CBP guidelines and coordinate with airline staff for efficient baggage distribution.

The role requires strong communication, flexibility for a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift, and a service-oriented approach in a dynamic airport environment.

Qualifications

• Service-based orientation.
• Self-directed and self-motivated, able to work long hours independently with little supervision.
• Ability to maintain hygiene standards and wear an issued uniform.
• Ability to work flexible schedules as the airport is a 24/7/365 operation.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with guests and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Arrange arriving luggage in an orderly manner on the carousel to improve passenger access to luggage and increase space on the carousel for incoming bags.
• Follow approved guidelines for baggage hygiene and handling based on airline requests approved by the Port of Seattle.
• Aid airline employees to improve passenger experience and safe transferal of baggage.
• Move over-sized and odd-sized baggage through screening under CBP, TSA, and Port of Seattle policies.
• Remove medium and large bags from carts and place them on belts, reading tags for proper drop location.
• Communicate clearly with guests and stakeholders at the airport, in person or via devices.
• Select and use PPE as outlined by policy and guidelines.
• Exercise sound judgement to prevent damage and ensure operations.
