Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Baggage Service Supervisor to oversee the fast-paced baggage service environment at our airport operations. You will manage staff, ensure accurate baggage handling, and resolve issues for passengers while adhering to safety and company standards.

The role requires strong leadership, outstanding communication, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience in customer service is strongly preferred.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to read IATA tickets is beneficial.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 70lbs.
• Able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee baggage service operations and ensure timely, accurate servicing.
• Schedule staff, develop team, and maintain accountability.
• Read IATA tickets to determine flight times and connections.
• Direct baggage tagging, screening, and handling for interline passengers.
• Manage lost or misplaced baggage claims and report to carriers.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
• Ensure health, safety, and security procedures are followed.
• Conduct trainings and shift briefings for staff.
