Unifi Aviation LLC is seeking a baggage handler responsible for processing incoming bags, verifying city and flight numbers, and loading bags onto the correct aircraft. The role emphasizes safety and efficient handling in a high-activity bag room environment.

Applicants must meet regulatory requirements, including SIDA training and the ability to lift heavy loads. This on-site position requires attention to detail and professional interaction with customers and TSA personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be local resident.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid In-State Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull items of 70 pounds or more regularly and lift 40–50 pounds on raised surfaces.

Responsabilités

• Reads and verifies the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading.
• Organizes and prioritizes baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading.
• Ensures proper conveyances are set up to sort and distribute incoming bags.
• Ensures compliance with TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Accepts responsibility for the safety of the scanner and associated equipment.
• Scans each bag as it arrives at the bag room.
• Forwards and receives bags to/from TSA for processing.
• Handles customer interaction in a professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience level.
