Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is hiring airport agents for part-time roles in the United States. You will handle ticketing and rebooking, greet passengers, and assist customers with special needs in a fast-paced environment.

Work outside in all weather, with shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. The role requires 18+ and a valid driver’s license; pay is $14.50 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities at SkyWest.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid unrestricted state driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Flexible schedule with split shifts; including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off of aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, rebook passengers.
• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously.
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area.
• Service aircraft as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off of aircraft

• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner

• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously

• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area

• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions

• Service aircraft as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older

• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license

• Have a High School Diploma or GED

• Pass a background check and drug screening

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing

• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• This is a part-time position

• $14.50 per hour

Physical and Other Requirements

• Applicants should be prepared for 24–30 hours of training per week during the first 8–10 weeks. After training, schedules will typically range from 8–20 hours per week based on operational needs.
