Job summary

SkyWest Airlines in Lewisburg, West Virginia, is hiring airport agents who deliver excellent customer service while handling tickets, boarding, and rebooking passengers. The role requires lifting and working outdoors in all weather, with a full-time schedule and a starting wage of $16 per hour.

You will greet passengers, issue tickets, check baggage, board flights, and assist customers with special needs, ensuring a smooth travel experience. A valid driver’s license and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver’s license.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing.
• Lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and time management skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• This is a full-time position with a schedule that may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This is a full-time position, starting at $16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail on/off aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers with luggage, and rebook passengers promptly and friendly.
• Escort passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously.
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Service aircraft as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail on/off aircraft
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers that arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers all in a prompt and friendly manner
• Escort passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions
• Service aircraft as needed
• Other duties as assigned
