Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is hiring for a part-time Airport Agent in Iowa. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, ticketing, boarding, and assisting passengers with special needs, while handling luggage and rebooking as needed.

You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and be part of a team focused on safety, efficiency, and passenger satisfaction. The position starts at $14.50 per hour with a chance to advance within SkyWest.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include 18+ years, valid driver's license, HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Flexible schedule including split shifts; part-time role.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage, airfreight, and company mail.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, assign seats, and rebook as needed.
• Escort passengers with special needs safely and courteously.
• Marshal aircraft on the ramp and service aircraft as required.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner
• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions
• Service aircraft as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing
• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• This is a part-time position, starting at $14.50 per hour
